Abstract:

To provide a paper sheets turning mechanism capable of turning over paper sheets arranged horizontally and taking off the paper sheets of booklets.

The paper turning mechanism includes: a sucking part that has suction holes for sucking paper sheets and that turns over paper sheets; and a protective plate that covers a part of the corners of the paper sheets before turning over. The sucking part changes to a sucking state for sucking the paper sheets before turning them over, a turning over state for turning over the paper sheets by moving them upward while sucking them, and a releasing state for releasing the paper sheets. When the sucking part changes from the releasing state to the sucking state, it comes close to the paper sheets before the turning over so that the suction holes pass over the corners of the paper sheets covered with the protective plate.
