To provide a paper stand which supports a paper in a standing-up state without making creases and folds on the paper.

The paper stand includes a first pinching member 1 and a second pinching member 2 which pivot through pivot pins and pinch the paper P mutually cooperatively, and has a spring for producing a pinching force to the first pinching member 1 and the second pinching member 2 by providing a rotating force around the shaft center of the pivot pins. The first pinching member 1 has a central wall 11 having a flat face 11a for supporting the back face of the paper P and inclined year walls 12 and 12 extending forward in a bending state from left and right sides of the central wall 11. The second pinching member 2 has a flat pressing face 21a for pressing a flat face 11a by bringing into contact with the front face of the paper P on the back face.
