PURPOSE: To balance push-up force by springs at both side parts of a sheet in relation to a bottom plate for supporting the sheet even in the case of sheet size being changed in a universal cassette so as to prevent the generation of skew feed or the like at the time of feeding sheets by half-moon rollers.

CONSTITUTION: Paper feed rollers with numerous half-moon rollers 3... fitted to a drive shaft 2 are disposed on the paper feed part side of a paper supply cassette 10 to form mechanism for delivering sheets P supported on a bottom plate 12. Two springs 20, 20a are disposed at the lower part of the bottom plate 12, and the lower parts of the springs 20, 20a are guided by oblique guides 17, 18. Two springs are moved in the mutually separating/approaching direction following the action of moving a side guide 13 so as to balance the push-up force on both sides of a sheet of optional size.
