Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveyance apparatus capable of improving the detection accuracy of the thickness of a sheet.SOLUTION: A sheet conveyance apparatus includes sheet thickness sensors 51a and 51b. The sheet thickness sensor 51a includes an actuator 8a and a sensor unit 7a which detects an amount of movement of the actuator 8a and outputs information representing the detected amount of movement. The sheet thickness sensor 51b includes an actuator 8b and a sensor unit 7b which detects an amount of movement of the actuator 8b and outputs information representing the detected amount of movement. When a sheet SH passes between the sheet thickness sensor 51a and the sheet thickness sensor 51b within a conveyance path, the actuators 8a and 8b move from a position where they contact each other within the conveyance path to a position where the sheet SH is sandwiched therebetween.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
