PURPOSE: To simplify the setting operation of a paper tube in a transfer type printer by providing on a claw plate a claw attachable to/detachable from the cut-off part provided on the paper tube.
CONSTITUTION: A paper tube 1 is supported free to rotate by two pieces of paper tube holders 2 for holding the paper tube 1 from both of its right and left sides. Next, a motor 4 is rotationally driven, so as to rotate a claw plate 2c elastically supported in the axle direction adjacent to the left paper tube holder 2 and claws 2b1 and 2b2 provided on this claw plate 2c are slided and moved on the left side face of the paper tube 1. When these claws 2b1 and 2b2 come to the positions of the cut-off parts 1a and 1a' of the upper tube 1, each claw engages the claws 2b1 and 2b2 automatically with the cut-off parts 1a and 1a' by the pressure force of the second compressed spring 7 to set the paper tube 1. By this engagement, the rotational force of the motor 4 is transmitted to the paper tube 1 and the transfer film 8 installed on this paper tube 1 is rolled in.
