PURPOSE: To prevent any defective carrying such as a skew by providing a turn roller comprising a flexible foamed material on a turn carrying device of paper for a copying machine, and permitting a turn guide having the same curvature as the outer diameter of said turn roller to be forced to and brought in contact with the outer periphery of said roller.

CONSTITUTION: A turn roller 11 comprising a flexible foamed material such as sponge is provided on a turn part, and a turn guide 12 having the approximately same curvature as the outer diameter of said turn roller 11 and uniformly held into a forced and contacted state from the entrance part to the exit part of said turn roller is provided on the outer periphery of said turn roller 11. The turn guide 12 is made of a material having a low frictional coefficient such as metal and plastic. The turn roller 11 is deformed into such a state as crushed by the turn guide 12, and paper is turn-carried along the turn guide 12 keeping a state stuck fast to the turn roller 11. Accordingly, any defective carrying such as a skew can be prevented.
