To provide papermaking rolls having good paper separation from papermaking press rolls, providing even peel preventing effects of paper in the case of the multi-ply paper and capable of shortening the downtime caused by exchange of the papermaking press rolls relating to the papermaking rolls used in a paper machine and especially the papermaking press rolls used in a press part, and to provide a method for processing the papermaking rolls.

The papermaking rolls are obtained by processing the surface of a base material by a rough polishing method or an applicating method and winding the processed base material on the surfaces of the papermaking rolls through an adhesive material. Furthermore, the method for processing the papermaking rolls is provided.
