Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition having potent insecticidal and deodorizing actions, and useful as an insecticide for a cloth and a deodorizing agent for a toilet, etc.
SOLUTION: This paradichlorobenzene composition obtained by dissolving or dispersing 0.001-10wt.% vaporizable additive (e.g.; a plant essential oil) and 0.001-10wt.% retentive agent (e.g.; a natural rubber) consisting of a polymer capable of being dissolved or dispersed with a molten dichlobenzene and as a solid or a rubber state at an ambient temperature into a molten liquid obtained by melting 80-99,998wt.% paradichlorobenzene, and coagulating the obtained mixed solution by rapidly cooling on the cooling surface of an indirect cooling coagulating device. In the composition, the vaporizable additive and the retentive agent are almost uniformly dispersed in the inside of the solid paradichlorobenzene, and it is preferable to have ≥30% uniform volatility of paradichlorobenzene with the vaporizable additive. Also, the mean solid growing rate in thickness direction of the growing solid from the cooling surface of the indirect cooling device is preferably 1-15mm/min.
