To provide a paraffin piece preservation sheet formed by fixing a paraffin tissue piece of a mammal embedded in a paraffin on a fiber sheet.
Handling at the preservation time is simplified by using the fiber sheet instead of a slide glass, and the paraffin tissue piece is returned into water in the fixed state on the fiber sheet and dipped up again by the slide glass as the need arises, to thereby acquire the slide glass on which the tissue is pasted completely similarly to hitherto. This paraffin piece preservation sheet is characterized by fixing the paraffin tissue piece of a mammal embedded in a paraffin having the thickness of 3-20 μm on one surface of the fiber sheet and filtering it for 5-20 seconds. The filtration time is a time required for sucking and filtering distilled water of 100 ml at 50 mmHg by a vacuum pump (BIO CRAFT BC-651) through a circular filtration surface having the diameter of 47 mm by using a filter holder (IWAKI:GFH-47).
