Title:
PARAGLIDING CANOPY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01226493
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To heighten flight stability by equipping ailerons with a reinforcement material stretched substantially in the vertical direction by a rope during flight.

CONSTITUTION: A paragliding canopy 1 is equipped with ailerons 34-39 extended to the lower side substantially parallel to the designated flying direction at the lower end of a sail 2. The ailerons 34-39 are equipped with reinforcement members 41-46, and the reinforcement members 41-46 apply tension to the ailerons 34-39 substantially in the vertical direction during flight under the tensile load of suspension ropes 4-9, 13-18. By thus reinforced ailerons 34-39, the form of the sail can be surely stabilized in the longitudinal direction and in the lateral direction. Thus, the flight stability can be improved.
