To provide a parallax correcting device of a simple constitution which can continuously correct a parallax according to subject distance without making a camera large-sized nor decreasing a finder visual field rate.
A camera 10 to which the invention is applied is equipped with a finder optical part 12 different from a photography optical part 14, an AF sensor 33 as a range finder which finds the distance to a subject 11, and a parallax correction part 21 comprising a finder driving part 21A driving part or the whole of the finder optical part 12 in a direction for correcting the finder parallax by using a coil spring 21a and a shape memory alloy part 21b and a driving circuit part 21B which supplies electric power needed to drive the finder driving part 21A; and the parallax correction part 21 drives the finder optical part 12 to a parallax correction position under the control of a control part 15 based upon the measurement result of the AF sensor 33.
