Abstract:

To provide an inexpensive deskewing method and its apparatus applicable to all of an Ethernet (R), a SONET/SDH, and an OTN.

A method for deskewing between lanes at a receiving side of a parallel optical transmission system is provided. The method has a step of detecting a pattern matching each lane based on a specific pit string, a step of determining a delay quantity to be added to one or more lanes which have detected the pattern matching, and a step of reading a received signal from a received signal buffer of one or more lanes according to the delay quantity.
