PURPOSE: To provide the parallel processing method of design rule check improved in high speed processing.
CONSTITUTION: A task graph is generated based on a rules file consisting of a verification rule group in a step S21, and the levels of respective tasks are calculated from the task graph in a step S22. The processings of steps S24-S27 are executed for the respective. levels. The number of the tasks which are to be allocated to respective processors is decided based on processing completion time and the number of subsequent tasks in the step S24. The task requests of the respective processors are generated based on data transfer time from the other processors in a step S25. The tasks are allocated to the respective processors based on the task requests in a step S26. The execution time of the allocated tasks and data transfer time are set in a step S27.
