To provide a parallel two-axis composite machine tool having a simple configuration, while achieving cutting such as a milling process other than a lathe-turing process and in which a plurality of rotary tools can be attached to a tool support for performing cutting.
A parallel two-axis composite machine tool comprises: a tool support 6; left and right main shafts 5L, 5R that can hold a work W, the main shafts being respectively arranged on left and right sides of the tool support 6 and having shaft centers that are parallel to each other; tool supports 7L, 7R respectively arranged on left and right outer sides aligning the left and right main shafts 5L, 5R; and two tool magazines 8L, 8R for holding a plurality of standby rotary tools T2 and for allocating a selected rotary tool T2 to respective tool changing positions. Each of the left and right main shafts 5L, 5R is provided movably in a transverse direction and moved left and right by a main shaft moving mechanism 9. Each of the tool supports 7L, 7R is a single spindle head for supporting and rotating the rotary tool T2.
