Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide highly reliable control over a long period of time, by integrally forming the juncture of a remote control lever and a rotary cam shaft for pushing a piston rod through casting of the control lever to an end of the drawn cam shaft. CONSTITUTION:When a lever 12 is actuated, by means of a parking lever, against a spring 42 to turn a cam shaft 14 counterclockwise a screw shaft 26 is shifted leftward through a follower 32 fitted in a groove 15 and a piston 27 is pressed to a brake disc through a nut 50 to produce a braking force of a parking brake actuator. The cam shaft 14 having the cam groove 15 on part of its circumference is manufactured through drawing, while an end of the cam shaft 14 is cast in a boss 13 of the cast lever 12 to integrate the cam shaft 14 to the lever 12. This method is easy to manufacture with improved reliability.
