Abstract:
To reduce a manufacturing cost of a parking brake device for railway vehicle.SOLUTION: A parking brake device 100 for railway vehicle comprises a brake 10 that generates parking brake force when pressed against a wheel 2, and an actuator 20 that compressed air is supplied, contracts to separate the brake 10 from the wheel 2, and when the compressed air is discharged, extends to press the brake 10 against the wheel 2. The actuator 20 is arranged on a radially outer side of the wheel 2 along the radial direction of the wheel 2. The brake 10 is arranged between the actuator 20 and a tread surface 2b of the wheel 2, and is pushed against the tread surface 2b of the wheel 2 with extension of the actuator 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
