Abstract:
PURPOSE:To precisely obtain gear mesh, neutral stop and parking brake operated conditions, by providing a piston member slidable by supply of pressure to oil chambers between a shift gear adapted to engage with and disengage from a drive gear and a support shaft for the shift gear, and supplying pressure to the oil chambers. CONSTITUTION:In a vehicle such as an agricultural combine having tracks, shift gears 27 adapted to engage with and disengage from a drive gear 21 for selecting power transmission to a lower gear 28 are slidably engaged with the outer periphery of a support shaft 22. Slidable piston members 24 are provided between the shifts gears 27 and the support shaft 22. Oil chambers 25 and 26 are defined between opposite ends of the slidable piston members 24 and the support shaft 22. By supplying pressure to the oil chambers 25 and 26, three positions of gear mesh condition between the shift gears 27 and the drive gear 21, neutral stop condition and parking brake 29 operated condition are precisely maintained. Thus, the power transmission to each track is carried out at the three positions to achieve gentle turn as well as rapid turn with a simple construction.
