PURPOSE: To reduce the time for the replacement work and improve the working efficiency by detecting the intermittent drive of a device driving mechanism and allowing the tape feeder for the exhausted part to be informed by counting and displaying the number of times of detection.
CONSTITUTION: A tape 9 mounted onto a tape feeder is intermittently transported through the revolution of a gear 5 in a certain pitch 4 by the vertical movement of a lever 3. Therefore, the quantity of the left chip parts mounted onto the tape feeder can be known by counting the number of times of the vertical movement of the lever 3. When a detection rod A is pushed down by the lowering of the lever 3, and said rod A contacts an output part 3A, pulse signals are sent into a digital pulse counter 4A, and the addition result is displayed. Therefore, the quantity of parts which are taping-treated by the tape 9 mounted on the tape feeder is distinctly displayed, and the tape feeder for the exhausted part is known, and preparation for replacement is executed at early time, and the replacement work in a short time is permitted.
