PURPOSE: To facilitate regulation, by a method wherein, in a device which feeds a hose joint to an extruding device, a part gripping means is reciprocated by an auxiliary drive means driven by a main drive means, and during collision between parts, an energizing force is exerted on the gripping means.
CONSTITUTION: A hose joint, not shown, is secured to a gripping means 30, and is conveyed in a hose joint conveyance direction X by means of an air cylinder 4 for feeding a hose and is inserted in a hose processing device. Simultaneously, a piston rod 12 of a cushioning cylinder 13 of an auxiliary drive means is moved backward. A piston rod 3 of the air cylinder 4 for feeding a hose is reciprocated by a remaining stroke. When the piston rod 3 is extended to a fullest size, the gripping means 30 releases a hose joint, and the two cylinders 4 and 13 are returned to an initial state. The feed of the hose joints is successively repeated in a similar manner described above. When, during the process, a preceding and a succeeding work are collided with each other, a piston rod 12 is moved backward to relieve an impact, and a joint moving speed is decreased. This constitution facilitates regulation.
