This part holding device comprises a base part 1 for mounting a holding device to mount a part holding device to a processing machine, at least three chucks 2 for a large-diameter part arranged to the base part 1 for mounting the holding device movably in a radial direction of a stepped cylindrical part 8, and having chuck pawls 23 gripping the large-diameter part of the stepped cylindrical part 8, a chuck driving unit 3 for a large-diameter part to simultaneously moving the chucks 2 for the large-diameter part in the same direction, a collet part 5 arranged to the base part 1 for mounting the holding device movably in an axial direction of the stepped cylindrical part 8 and gripping a small-diameter part of the stepped cylindrical part 8, and a collet driving unit 6 moving the collet part 5 in an axial direction of the stepped cylindrical part 8.
