When a conveyor 12 is rotated around a shaft thereof by a driving motor 18, an electronic part M is moved along the axial direction of the conveyor 12, while a projecting part of the electronic part M projecting from the conveying passage 14 is brought in contact with guide members 16A and 16B. A CCD camera 22 picks up images of a side surface (appearance) of the moving electronic part M, and an image determining device 26 determines quality on the basis of a result of the picked-up images.
