PURPOSE: To accurately recognize the position of a part image from which a suction nozzle is protruded.
CONSTITUTION: A transmitted illumination section 33 which illuminates a part from its rear side, 45°-mirror 34 which gets in and comes out from a space in which a suction nozzle 32 is moved in the vertical direction and, when it gets in the space, reflects the image of the attracted part in the horizontal direction, moving means 35 which retreats the mirror 34 from the space when the part is attracted and mounted and advances the mirror 34 to a position immediately below the nozzle 32 when the image of the part is recognized, 45°-half mirror which is faced to the mirror 34, reflects upward in the vertical direction the image of the part reflected by the mirror 34 in the horizontal direction, and transmits light approaching the mirror 36 from its rear side in the horizontal direction, and reflecting and lighting section 37 which is positioned behind the mirror 36 and illuminates the rear side of the part through the mirror 34 are provided around the space in which the nozzle 32 is moved in the vertical direction. At the time of picking up the image of small-sized parts A, it is contrived to recognize the image of the part A only by turning on both transmitted and reflected light rays so as to make the protruded part of the nozzle to get out of sight.
