PURPOSE: To perform mounting work with high recognizing accuracy in a short time by using an apparatus having a simple configuration.

CONSTITUTION: Both convex lenses 31 were adjusted to accurately focus on a liquid crystal substrate 19, supply the whole image of a part to be mounted 19 and the liquid crystal substrate 23 to a CCD camera, and the image of the liquid crystal substrate 23 is projected to the left side region. Both semicircular convex lenses 34a and both concave lenses 34b were adjusted to focus on the part to be mounted 19 in association with both convex lenses 31, and an image of the part to be mounted 19 is projected in the right side region of the CCD element 33. Therefore, the images of the part to be mounted 19 and the liquid crystal substrate 23 are simultaneously photographed by a CCD camera 32 and, as a result, the operation for putting the part to be mounted 19 and the liquid crystal substrate 23 on the same surface can be omitted and thus working time can be reduced.
