PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a part recognition data forming method and a forming device, capable of accurately and quickly forming part recognition data set on each electronic component, to be referred to for recognition of the electronic parts without consciousness of the characteristic of recognition algorithm, and an electronic component mounting apparatus and a recording medium.
SOLUTION: This apparatus is equipped with an input means for inputting information of a body of the electronic component and an electrode, a recognition algorithm selection means for specifying the part kinds of the electronic component, based on the inputted information of the body and the electrode, and selecting the recognition algorithm fit to the specified component kind, and a part shape data extraction means for automatically extracting part shape data required for recognition processing by the selected recognition algorithm, from the inputted information of the body and the electrode. The component recognition data, in which the recognition condition for the electronic component is recorded, is formed.
