Abstract:
To provide a particle beam accelerator capable of accelerating a beam further stably and a particle beam therapy system including the particle beam accelerator.SOLUTION: In a magnet device 1 that generates the main magnetic field of an accelerator 1004, an upper magnetic pole 8 and a lower magnetic pole 9 form a magnetic field distribution such that the orbits of the accelerating beam are dense on an exit channel 1019 side, and the vertical spacing of coils 6A and 6B on the exit channel 1019 side is narrower than the vertical spacing at a position symmetrical with respect to the center of the beam orbit region of the accelerator 1004.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
