Title:
PARTICLE CLEANING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1173081
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To prevent toner from dropping from the surface of a cleaner housing without any increase in release material of toner by providing a core having fibers having a first length and a second length around the core of a cleaning brush.

Long cleaning fibers 100 extended in the radial direction from the core of a brush are planted in the core 110 of the brush and in a clearance of a joint of fiber materials. The remaining fiber of the core of the brush is shorter than the fiber in the clearance of a joint of fiber materials, that is, the long cleaning fiber 100. These brush fibers 120 are spirally wound around the periphery of the core 110 of the brush. The long cleaning fiber 100 planted in the joint cleans the wall of a housing to prevent toner from dropping from the cleaner. Such fibers different in length enables the cleaner brush to remove particles accumulated along the inner surface of the wall of the cleaner housing, and to remove particles from the image forming surface.
