Title:
PARTICULATE COLLECTION AMOUNT DETECTION OF EXHAUST FILTER AND DEVICE THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06193428
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the adjusting points of a circuit and comparatively simplify the constitution of the circuit by deciding a collection amount of particulates by way of detecting a transmission ratio of high frequency through a load quantitatively combined inside of a filter.

CONSTITUTION: A steel made housing 10 to store a filter 16 for particulate collection is built in an exhaust pipe of a diesel engine. Particulates in gas of the exhaust pipe are collected by the filter 16. Inside of the filter 16, a front stage element 20 and a rear stage element 30 to embody quantitative combination in a high frequency region are arranged in parallel toward upstream of exhaust gas. Thereafter, high frequency of a specified frequency is supplied from the sending side to the front stage element 20. The high frequency is propagated to the rear stage element 30 through a part inside of the filter 16. When the particulates are accumulated on the filter 16, change of impedance of a load takes place. Consequently, it is possible to comparatively simplify the circuit constitution and reduce the number of adjusting points of the circuit.
