Abstract:
To provide a particulate filter capable of reducing cost and the size, and formable as low ventilation resistance, without increasing a catalyst quantity.
This particulate filter is provided for processing a particulate exhausted from a diesel engine. Small holes 5 and 6 are respectively unpenetratingly formed in a plurality in the thickness direction from a surface 2a and a reverse surface 2b of a filter 2 formed as a porous structure composed of metallic fiber. The small hole 5 formed on the surface 2a and the small hole 6 formed on the reverse surface 2b, are alternately arranged.
