To provide a particulate material treatment apparatus capable of significantly shortening a particulate material treatment time by unifying the supply of a treatment gas.
This particulate material treatment apparatus 1 has a vessel 2, a treatment tank 3, and funnel 4. The vessel 2 has a charging port 9 for charging a particulate material into the vessel. The treatment tank 3 receives the particulate material charged from the charging port 9. The treatment tank 3 is shaped so as to be narrowed toward the bottom. At least the lower part of the treatment tank 3 is formed of a gas-permeable material that allows the process gas for treating the particulate material to pass through. Further a discharge port 10 for discharging the particulate material in the treatment tank 3 is formed on a lower end of the treatment tank 3. The funnel 4 is disposed near a lower end of the treatment tank 3. The funnel 4 allows the particulate material to slide off to the discharge port 10. The funnel 4 has air permeability.
