Title:
PARTICULATE-MATTER PROCESSING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2012193701
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a particulate-matter processing device that suitably executes aggregation of PM in exhaust gas by charging the PM while using an electrode.

The particulate-matter processing device is configured to aggregate particulate matter in exhaust gas. The device includes: an exhaust gas purifier provided in an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine in order to purify exhaust gas discharged from the internal combustion engine; and a processing part that has an electrode, whose applied voltage can be changed, and allows a current to flow into a space, where the exhaust gas flowing out from the exhaust gas purifier flows through, between the electrode and the exhaust passage located on the downstream side of the exhaust gas purifier by a voltage, applied to the electrode, in the exhaust passage located on the downstream side of the exhaust gas purifier.
