To provide a particulate object for cooking appliance capable of grilling fish and meat so as to obtain taste and flavor of a raw material for cooking in a short time by providing it on a bottom face of a cooking appliance and preventing dirt and odor in a range when fish and meat are grilled and cooked directly by fire.
A component of a particulate object for cooking appliance contains, by weight, 65 to 75% of silicon dioxide, 10 to 15% of aluminum oxide, and at least two or more kinds of transition element oxides selected from among iron oxide, cobalt oxide, titanium oxide, manganese oxide, nickel oxide and copper oxide each in an amount of 0.1 to 1.0%. Furthermore, it contains at least 20% or more of clayey substance or zeolite ore powder obtained by crushing zeolite are having base exchange capacity (meq/100 g) of 100 mg or more in such a way that it has the maximum particle diameter of 1 mm or less. The mixture is kneaded with water to produce a particle having the required shape and size and is calcined and dried at a temperature of 250°C to 400°C. Its specific surface area is 40 m2/g or more.
