Abstract:
To provide a particulate water absorbent having irregularly crushed form for thin absorbers suitable in practical use.
The water absorbent comprises a water absorbing resin prepared by cross polymerization of an acid group- and/or its salt-containing unsaturated monomer and crosslinking of the surface as a main component, includes granulated particles and has (a) ≥32g/g centrifuge retension capacity (CRC) to saline, (b) 200-400μm mass average particle size (D50) and (c) 95-100 mass% particle having ≥150μm to <600μm particle size. Water-absorbing articles having little irregularity after water absorption and excellent in fluid permeability are produced by using the particulate water absorbent.
