Abstract:

To provide a partitioning base isolation method for base-isolating all buildings even if a large number of the buildings are densely built in an area.

This method base-isolates a whole partition 1 where a plurality of the buildings 2a, 2b, 2c are to be built or are built. Shafts 3a, 3b are formed around the partition 1 through excavation, and excavation is carried out from the shafts 3a, 3b to a part under a building located at the deepest part in the partition 1 and support slab 6, 7 for supporting upper soil columns and a new foundation 8 for supporting the weight of the support slab 6, 7 are constructed. A base isolation device 10 is installed between the support slab 6, 7 and the new foundation 10, and thereafter a member 9 for supporting the support slab 6, 7 on the new foundation 8 is removed.
