PURPOSE: To use a large partitioning panel, to protect user's privacy and to easily monitor the inside by using the partitioning panel switched to the transparent state and the opaque state.

CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal panel 1 is provided as the partitioning panel which can be switched to the transparent state and the opaque state, and two automatic devices 11 and 12 send signals, which indicate that they are busy, to a control part 3 of a partitioning device 10 when a user approaches them or they are busy. The control part 3 determines the state of the liquid crystal panel 1 by AND between signals supplied from two automatic devices 11 and 12, and a liquid crystal panel driving part 2 is so controlled that the liquid crystal panel 1 is made opaque only when two automatic devices 11 and 12 are busy together. Thus, the partitioning panel between adjacent automatic devices is enlarged to protect privacy of simultaneous users, and monitor for crime prevention is possible at the time of the absence of simultaneous users.
