To provide a partitioning wall capable of reducing probability of collapse and damage by collapse by earthquake while utilizing equipment which is operated at the present day, and reducing its weight and costs.
In a structure of the partitioning wall partitioning the inside of a heating furnace, an uppermost stage portion 21 of at least upper 1/3 portion with respect to a height of the total partitioning wall, is composed of a low-density material 31 having a bulk density lower than that of a material used in a base portion 25 positioned lower than the uppermost stage portion, thus the weight of the partitioning wall 20 can be reduced, and the probability of collapse of the partitioning wall, in particular, the uppermost portion by earthquake can be reduced. Further as heat capacity can be reduced in comparison with that of a conventionally-used fire brick, costs for operational initial heating of the heating furnace can be reduced.
