Abstract:
To form an orderly sequence of components in a component feeding passage, move the entire sequence of components without adding a special mechanism, and feed a head component into a storage recess of a feed rod.SOLUTION: A component feeder for placing components 1 in a standby state in a component feeding passage 5 in the state of a component sequence 14, transferring a head component 1 to a reception recess 28 of a feed rod 24 by means of a component conveying force, and then feeding the component to a target place through an advancing operation of the feed rod 24 comprises: a suction member 15 that sucks the head component 1 and a component 1 connected thereto; and a magnet 20 that operates to magnetize or demagnetize the suction member 15. The length of the suction member 15 is set so that the number of components of the component sequence 14 can be a prescribed number, the components 1 of the component sequence 14 are connected in series without gaps by means of a suction magnetic force, and the entire component sequence is moved when the suction member 15 is demagnetized to transfer the head component 1 into the reception recess 28.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
