Abstract:
A station for testing electronic components being advanced in a processing machine is provided with a pair of co-operative lead-engageable contact sets, each set having contacts 70, 72 yieldingly openable to arrest a lead L arriving therebetween for the test. At least one contact of each set has a sharp or abrasive edge to penetrate any wire oxidation of the lead to obtain accurate electrical measurement though requiring only low contact force. The contacts are connected in test circuitry which determines whether the components are acceptable and if not interrupts operation of the machine so that they may be removed.
