To achieve a passage management device capable of improving work efficiency in confirming unique information on a non-contact card reader which is stored in the non-contact card reader and used in maintenance inspection.
The passage management device includes: a non-contact card reader 2 in which authentication information is input from a non-contact card 1; a passage propriety determination device 41 for determining a propriety of passage through a gateway by using the authentication information; a door device control apparatus 42 for controlling a door device 3 when the passage propriety determination device 41 determines that the passage through the gateway is authorized; and a portable communication device 5 for performing radio communication with the non-contact card reader 2 when it is located within a communicable area of the non-contact card reader 2. The non-contact card reader 2 transmits version specification information on a software stored when a version specification information transmission command signal is input, and the version specification information is input in the portable communication device 5 from the non-contact card reader 2.
