To provide a passage switching device capable of switching an air passage by a principle other than conventional principles and capable of being miniaturized and lightened, and to provide an air pump.
The passage switching device 4 receives discharge air from a pump body 2 and supplies the air to one of two passages, and is composed of the passage comprising an air inlet 9 and two branched discharge openings 5, 6, a selector valve 14 provided at a branch part of the passage, and a selector valve forcibly moving device for determining an initial position of the selector valve 14. Passage branch openings 17, 18 are opened and closed by initially operating the selector valve forcibly moving device to forcibly move the selector valve 14 to a desired initial position and then closely shutting a desired passage branch opening using discharge air pressure from the pump body 2. The discharge air from the pump body 2 is supplied through the other passage branch not shut.
