PURPOSE: To improve throughput and to shorten a process time by providing a read-out device reading out the magnetic information of a circulation passbook inside a circulation passbook storage part.

CONSTITUTION: When circulation passbooks 1' are inserted together into a storage box 21 of a circulation passbook storage part 21 in a state of opening a page to be printed, and a process instruction is inputted from an operation part, the circulation passbook 1' is sent out to a circulation passbook conveying path by sending out rollers 32 and 33, and when a magnetic stripe part corresponds to the position of a magnetic read head 35, the magnetic information such as an account number is read out. The read magnetic information is transmitted to a host device, and process data corresponding to the information are returned to a passbook processor. Thus, even when the passbook sent out before is under processing in the passbook processing part, it is possible to finish the read process of the magnetic information, so the process time in the passbook processing part can be shortened.
