To provide a passbook which is excellent in the suitability for turning-over by an automated machine since a cover is hardly curled by the effect of moisture and of which the cost is lowered.

The passbook is formed by stacking and binding together the cover constituted of a cover paper sheet and an endpaper sheet and a plurality of content paper sheets and has a constitution wherein the cover paper sheet and the endpaper sheet are made single-sided water-resistant paper having a water-resistant layer on one side and wherein the cover paper sheet and the end paper sheet are laid on each other so that the water-resistant layers are made the opposite outer surfaces. In another embodiment, the passbook has a constitution wherein the cover and a plurality of content paper sheets are stack and bound together and wherein a back sticking material is so stuck on the outer surface of the cover as to cover the bound part and the cover is constituted of double-sided water-resistant paper having the water-resistant layers on the opposite sides.
