The passenger conveyer driving device transmits driving force of an electric motor 7 to a sprocket through a gear train, and drives endlessly coupled footboards and a moving handrails. The passenger conveyer driving device comprises a vertical leg 5 provided on a first lateral surface a; a horizonal leg 6 provided on a first longitudinal surface b; a vertical and horizontal leg 4 provided at a corner portion where the first lateral surface a and the first longitudinal surface b intersect; a vertical oiling port provided on a second lateral surface; a horizontal oiling port provided on a second longitudinal surface d, namely a speed reducing cover 3; a vertical oiling port provided on the first lateral surface a; and a horizontal oiling port provided on the first longitudinal surface b.
