Abstract:
The travel failure detection device for passenger conveyors according to the present invention comprises: a pair of passage detection sensors which are arranged in the width direction of steps in a position before a comb so as to detect the state in which the lower end of the riser of each step passes within a detection distance range; and a failure detection controller which sequentially obtains the detection results for the steps driven in circulation as detected by the pair of passage detection sensors, and determines that the traveling state is abnormal if the criteria that the detection results of both the pair of passage detection sensors can be obtained at regular intervals is not satisfied.
