Abstract:
To provide a passenger conveyor which can stop in a short time even when an accident occurs near an intermediate point.
A passenger conveyor includes a sensor 40 that is provided on a handrail 32 of a passenger conveyor 10 in the travel direction at predetermined intervals and detects impact force F to an inside plate 42, and a control device 22 that stops the escalator 10 when the impact force F equal to or more than a reference value is detected by the sensor 40.
