Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveyor that includes an inner deck cover in which multiple inner deck plates are connected by connection members, and can notify a passenger that a load is applied to the inner deck cover by utilizing the connection member.SOLUTION: A passenger conveyor includes: a pressure sensitive sensor 50 for detecting that a load equal to or greater than a predetermined value is applied to an inner deck plate; a light source body 60 positioned between the adjacent inner deck plates; and a light emission control unit 92 for making the light source body emit light in a predetermined mode when application of the load equal to or greater than the predetermined value to the inner deck plate is detected by the pressure sensitive sensor 50. A connection member includes a light transmission part that is positioned between the adjacent inner deck plates so as to cover the light source body and through which light emitted from the light source body is transmitted.
