Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveyor which can prevent a fall of the passenger conveyor even if a non-fixed side support beam comes off from a building-side support beam, and in which the non-fixed side support beam which comes off from the building-side support beam can automatically return on the building-side support beam once again.SOLUTION: A passenger conveyor has an additional building beam 5 having a prescribed clearance g between a frame 4 and itself at a lower part of the frame 4 in a horizontal part at a side at which a non-fixed side support beam 7 of the frame 4 is arranged, and the additional building beam 5 supports the frame 4 when a distance between the two building beams 2a, 3a becomes long, and the non-fixed side support beam 7 comes off from the building-side support beam 3a. The prescribed clearance g has a magnitude for allowing a return of the non-fixed side support beam 7 which comes off from the building-side support beam 3a on the building-side support beam 3a once again when the distance between the two building-side support beams 2a, 3a returns to an original distance.
