Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveyor in which a fence to be installed outside a handrail is formed with high rigidity, whether the fence is new or existing and is arranged in a width of the passenger conveyor.SOLUTION: The passenger conveyor comprises: a plurality of footsteps 5, connected in an endless manner, which move between platforms; a handrail 6, provided at a side in an advancing direction of the plurality of footsteps, which has a plurality of columns 11 fixed to a main body frame, a handrail panel 12 and an arm rail frame 16 supported on the plurality of columns, and an outer deck 14 covering the side of the arm rail frame; a moving arm rail 7, installed through the arm rail frame above the handrail, which moves in synchronization with the footsteps; and a fence 8 arranged outside the handrail. The fence is arranged in a vertical projection plane of the outer deck, a lower end of which is fixed to the outer deck, with a fixing fitting, on the vertical projection plane at a position where the columns are installed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
