Abstract:
PURPOSE:To alleviate shocks upon the passenger compartment due to waves and to damp even swing motions due to pitching and rolling of a hull by using a hydraulic support cylinder which supports the passenger compartment, and compressed gas in accumulators communicated with the cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A passenger compartment 2 is supported by a damping device 3 and a support device 4. The damping device 3 is comprises a support cylinder 5 and accumulators 6 for supporting the passenger compartment 2 through the intermediary of a piston 8 and a piston rod 8a with the use of N2 gas stored in the accumulator 6. In the support device 4, a drive cylinder 11 is born by a support shaft 12, and the forward end of a piston rod 13 of a piston 13 adapted to be moved vertically by a hydraulic pressure is coupled to a slidable shaft 15 loosely fitted in a slide groove 14 on the passenger compartment 2 side, through the intermediary a pin 16.
