Abstract:

To provide a passive shield type electromagnet device that can be carried in an installation place through a narrow transport path having a curve equal to or smaller than the right angle.

This electromagnet device 10 is provided with containers 3 storing a static magnetic field generating source 2 and disposed opposite to each other in the vertical direction with a uniform magnetic field area 4 interposed between them, and a magnetic shield formed of a ferromagnetic body and disposed in the periphery of the static magnetic field generating sources 2. The magnetic shield is formed by plates 11 disposed on the upper and lower sides of the upper and lower static magnetic field generating sources 2, and a support supporting the upper and lower plates 11 and electromagnetically connected to the same. The support is separably divided into a first strut 12 and a second strut 13, the first strut 12 supports a projecting part 14 of the plate 11 and the second strut 13 is magnetically connected to the end face 16 of the projecting part 14 of the plate 11. As compared with the device 10, the outer periphery of the device main body 17 from which the second strut 13 is separated is reduced so that it can be easily carried in even through the narrow transport path.
