To solve the problem that paste may ooze to a liquid crystal side in the inside or to the outside of a glass substrate in the outside or may leak from a site low in sealing performance when two glass substrates for sealing the liquid crystal are bonded if the section area to be coated is not uniform at every position of a line pattern.
The section area to be coated can be held constant by making adjustment to overlap a pressure response curve and a velocity-changing curve. Further, a set value is changed in multistage or continuously when the pressure is changed, and pressure change time is extended enough as compared with pressure response time in the case of switching in a single stage so that the curvature of speed change is made approximately equal both in the starting-up time and in the finishing-down time. Change in pressure response due to change in the paste remaining amount to be coated in a syringe can be reduced.
